Randall Gifford is the President and proud owner of Colonial Contracting & Excavating Inc.. Colonial is a small family run business which takes pride in customer loyalty and quality products. Colonial performs concrete and site work for both commercial and public jobs with an expertise in substations.
Randall founded Colonial with his brother in law in 1993. At this time in Randall’s life he had already had years of experience working for his own father’s excavation business as a teen and then as a concrete mason for another employer in his early to mid twenties. The partners started the business as performing residential and small commercial site jobs. As Colonial continued to grow the work began to focus on commercial site work.
In 2010 Randall and his business partner split. Colonial continued to take on commercial work but at this point Randall refocused the company to public work with an emphasis on substations. With Randall’s knowledge and skills of concrete work have allowed for him to take excel in the field of public work with complicated concrete pours. Colonial has thrived in complex jobs by coming up with creative solutions for all types of projects. After some time Randall decided he needed someone to help with all of Colonial’s new projects and hired Tina Lemoine as operations manager. Together they are able to tackle the most intricate jobs from working below the water table, to tight job site spaces, to detailed and heavy rebar cages. We have complete small and large solar farms, numerous substation, updates to existing public facilities, demo and site work of new public facilities, town homes and updates or new build to business offices.
Colonial takes pride in the quality of work performed and the quality of employees that work here. Randall and Tina enjoy taking on the tough jobs and turning over amazing results with the help of a great crew.
